I urge you to read this excellent article, (see link) which stems from the candidate forum that I attended in Sacramento in October, and exposes yet another way that money in politics corrupts our democracy. It’s yet another reason that I chose to end my race for State Assembly and resume my voice as a citizen advocate. I can totally vouch for the reporter’s depiction – I was sitting right next to her.

“Very often, because there is so much money moving around the campaigns (in the form of) independent expenditures, the candidate is the least in control.”
