At least one of my friends is happy about the new nuts coming to the Whitehouse! I met this little guy on Capitol Hill a few days ago. He’s nervous but hopeful. That’s a difficult mood to conjure up for the rest of us lobbying in D.C. on behalf of action on climate change, but we’re trying with all of our hearts. I can tell you the mood is weird, in the halls of Congress, very weird. There’s a hushed, oppressive tone throughout, quieter than I’ve ever heard it, with occasional brief splashes of awkward enthusiasm from the victors.  Basically, everyone’s in shock, no matter which side we’re on. You might say we’re all feeling a bit “Squirrelly”.
