I found myself grateful for an action that President Trump (that title seems like an oxymoron) took yesterday. With the stroke of a pen, he stopped the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership). As an environmentalist, I’m truly pleased by the reversal of that disastrous policy and I’m in good company.

But how quickly that mood was overtaken by a sense of dread created by another set of presidential signatures. Thanks to the loose canon that is Donald Trump, the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines are now free from the constraints of common sense, environmental concerns, and moral standards.
